| Dear HMS parents, guardians, and caregivers,
We hope this message finds you well as we wrap up the month of February. We had a community assembly this week to share Glow Run incentives, and as part of the assembly, our Robotics Team shared with us a demonstration. Pictured here is a course set up in our gym that robots had to navigate. Good luck to teams as they prepare for the state championship next week!
Our next HMS Update will be shared on March 13, 2026. Please be in touch with any questions. Thank you for your partnership! With Gratitude, Mandy Lewis and Tom McDowell, HMS Administrative Team |

| Attendance Data - Snapshot |
Our Attendance Team meets regularly to review student attendance at HMS. One of our goals this year is to share attendance data more regularly with our school community. The graph included here shares attendance rates for the first five months of this school year. Attending school regularly is the number one predictor of student success and academic achievement. |

| Glow Run Kick-off
The annual Glow Run, a time-honored tradition for Yarmouth 5th through 8th graders, will be held on Thursday, March 5th!
For this event—our biggest fundraiser of the year—we transform the gym with atmospheric lighting, fun music, and bright neon colors to create an electric experience for students. Kids collect pledges in support of their participation, building community among their classes, raising funds for their schools, and setting personal goals. It all culminates on the day of the event, when they take to the lighted track for an epic glow run and fitness celebration. Our goal is to raise $25,000 for classroom enrichment, field trips, teacher appreciation initiatives, playground improvements, and other special events. Encourage your students to sign up! The website is open to sign-ups! Visit mybooster.com and follow these steps: -Choose "Sign Up" and create an account (Tip for parents and guardians: Enter YOUR birthdate, not your student's) -Search for "Yarmouth Schools" -Register your student -Explore the website and start sharing!
Please reach out to the Yarmouth PTO at yarmouthpto04096@gmail.com with any questions. Ready, set, GLOW! Volunteer with the PTO!
We're always looking to welcome new volunteers, and we'd love to hear from you! Please fill out the PTO-specific volunteer interest form, or reach out directly at yarmouthpto04096@gmail.com

Young Author's Camp (reminder) |
Dear Parents of Writers,
Have you ever said to yourselves, “I just wish there was a camp for kids who like to write.” Wish no more! For the tenth year, a writing camp is being held in Yarmouth this summer.
The camp offers time to write with other young authors in a relaxed environment designed to spark creativity. Writers will have time to get their thoughts on paper, be inspired and energized by activities indoors and out, and have time to interact with other kids and high school volunteers (former campers of course!) who also want to write. Each year we bring in lots and lots of new activities. YARMOUTH YOUNG AUTHORS CAMP Camp is for students CURRENTLY in grades 4-7 JUNE 22-26, 2026. 9AM-2PM @ YARMOUTH HIGH SCHOOL Instructors: Lorrie King and Patricia Valley
Register here, now! |
